We are going to be constructing a patchwork type card. I centered mine on an 8.5 x 11 page to print as I am cutting it out and layering it on other card stock. My cut out image is 5 inches x 3.75 to fit an A2 card. When I made my composition I was not real careful with the colors matching as I knew that I would be printing the final version in sepia tone effect (my printer has a selection where you can choose special effects).
The image is then layered on metallic gold and the card is finished with a gold bow embellishment.

This hummingbird sits on the hanger and chases away any other birds that would come to drink.

I had started this Indian painting last session and never did much on it but make it worse than the last time it was worked on. So today, was THE DAY. I was determined to finish it.
Mixed media on 140# watercolor paper 16×25 inches not sure what size it will be when I get it framed. Hopefully, I have something that will work with it.

I just finished the Mockingjay last of the Hunger Games series by
Suzanne Collins. futuristic dystopian world (society in a reressive or controlled state, usually under the guise of being a utopia).
Don’t read the books out of order.

Got my hair cut very short in the back. Longer on right side than the left side. Reverse frosted going to search for my natural color in the next 6 months gradually getting darker until we have a match with the roots. Also waiting for the bangs to grow out on the right side. Stylist said it would take 6 months for my hair to regain it’s health.
There is no way I can even think of a pony tail. Stylist showed me how to style it – mainly with product. No curling iron. No rollers, no heat rollers and not using the round brush which is just plain painful with fibro and RA.
I am liking it. Scheduled for a trim every month to keep it looking right in the back.

Have not done much out in the gardens due to excessive heat triple digit or right at 100. I just cannot stand the heat these days so I have been reading and working on some ATCs.
Been on a Dean Koontz reading spree. I don’t come across words that are new to me very often but on the first few pages of “The Bad Place”, I found the these. It is an older book 1990.
New words: insufflation, entablature, terpichorean after looking them up, they are still not words that I will use in a conversation.

Yesterday’s mail brought these ATCs from Nancy. The theme was humor.

This ATC has layers of black cardstock that do not show well in the scan.

Mary G. and I did some wc practice last Friday. I got the mat cut and then decided the flowers did not have enough darks to work well with the hot leaves. I still think the leaves are too hot but they match the photograph we were studying.

We took a bus tour to the Hoover Dam and one of the stops was in Henderson at the M&M chocolate store and botanical garden. Loved to see the tiny gecko scurrying around but was to slow on the button to capture any in a photo.
This is my favorite photo.

Do not know it's name.

Been working in the yard continually and cannot tell I have done anything out there. The weeds grow faster than I can pull them. Plus spent and overgrown plants need pruning. Then of course we took the week in Vegas to celebrate our 25th Anniversary.
